While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I encountered behind its entrance was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .
The State of Affairs: Squalid and Abandoned
From the moment I crossed the threshold, it was evident that sanitation was not a priority at this bar . The surfaces were tacky , and a nauseating aroma of decaying beverages and neglected washrooms filled the entire bar . With a smell of a mixture of ammonia , decay and sour vomit . The main bar, which should be the primary feature of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and litter that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks . The restroom was in even a truly awful state—overflowing , with a broken handle and walls stained in what I can only assume was feces.

For a business that caters to patrons, these issues are absolutely intolerable and raise serious concerns about the quality of the food and drinks .

During my time there, I observed how uneasy several women at the bar seemed around Cornwell. As I asked around, I was appalled to find accusations against him involving inappropriate advances, with multiple women reporting interactions of distributing inappropriate messages . Described as uncomfortably pushy and inappropriate , his actions has created an hostile atmosphere for women who here visit Masterson’s. His presence at the bar often resembled that of a lurking threat than a friendly owner .
